Portsmouth-based businessman and part-time author Peter Fincham returns by popular demand to deliver a bespoke session on UK work culture to our third cohort enrolled in the Job Preparation for Migrants’ Workshop.
Previously, participants have been able to learn about the UK job market’s expectations and how CVs and cover letters should be presented. Peter’s humorous and very supportive take on job training makes this workshop unmissable.
His presentation will help the group understand some of the things a person new to working in the UK may not be initially familiar with. The session will focus on employer’s expectations during the application process, as well as the sort of cultural norms that exist within the workplace – important to appreciate once participants have secured employment.
Feedback from the first and second cohorts on the usefulness of this session was so positive that we are bringing it back for our third cohort going through our Job Preparation Support for Migrants.
