11 July 2022: Online Chat on UK Work Culture with Peter Fincham

5 July 2022. This discussion is back by popular demand! Earlier this year, Portsmouth-based businessman and author Peter Fincham introduced UK work culture to our first group of migrant job applicants. We benefitted from his honest (and humorous) take, so we are bringing him back to host another chat. Peter also gives similar talks to student graduates to help them understand what is professionally expected of those stepping into the UK workplace.

CV Writing is Integration Hopes on Paper

23 May 2022. Our series of job preparation support for those newly arrived in Portsmouth start with a session on CV writing. Many in our class are refugees and asylum seekers who have or will soon have the permission to work. They look forward to being part of our local economy, of bringing their skills and contributing to the social fabric of our community. They want to work towards having their skills recognised in the UK. This starts with CVs.
